Finger Knitting

I have always wanted to learn how to knit or crochet. I am left handed, and tried to learn how to crochet from a right handed person. Let's just say I lost patience and told myself "maybe another time." I recently found something I can do without being frustrated. It's very easy to learn, and you can make things sitting on your couch. Finger knitting, if you have never tried watch my video below and I will show you how easy finger knitting can be.
The yarn I used was Bernat Baby Blanket. I used this because it's very soft and also very warm. Any size yarn will work it just depends on the project you are wanting to create. Leave me ideas in the comment section below for more crafts you want to see me try.

string art

Loved this project. Took some time to get set up, but it was worth it. This is a project you can do alone or with a group of friends. String art is something I have wanted to try for a while. Now that we are remodeling our home I have extra wood around. I went out and grabbed a piece I thought would work for my project. Once you are ready, start sanding your piece of wood. This will help smooth the surface and help the paint hold better. Next step was to decide on a paint. I chose Dutch Boy satin white.  I had this the basement and worked great.  I also wanted a rustic look, so I took an old sock and dipped it in the paint.  Then I just started rubbing the paint in little sections over the piece of wood, this helped give it a ...

All About Paper

I always thought scrapbook paper is used solely for scrap booking. Wrong, I quickly realized scrapbook paper can be used in several different projects. In this post I wanted to show you a fun hobby I started about five years ago, making paper flowers. I Love to work on these. Yes they are time consuming, but when you are finished they look great. Here are a few flowers arrangements I have completed.  In the steps below I describe a step by step process how to make one of these.  The flower shown below is a common flower I use in most of my bouquets or flower arrangements. Lets get started. Depending on what you are making the flower for, will depend on how big you want the flowers. I typically make a 4 by 4 square. One flower takes 5 squares. #1:Once you get the squares cut you can start folding.  First fold is completed by folding one end to another making a triangle.                     #2: Now tak...

Making a Paper Flower Arrangement

In another one of my posts I taught you how to make a simple paper flower that looked something like this. There are several ways you can incorporate this flower in everyday arrangements. I want to share a few ideas you can do with the flower to use as a present, in home decor, or just some crafting time with yourself. These are a few arrangements I made.      Adding a simple button in the middle of the                            flower adds to the look! To complete these projects I use the following ➖ ▪️Scrapbook paper: any kind will work even the ones with designs  ▪️Glue gun and glue sticks ▪️For my arrangements I like to use inserts for instance an ivory or a fern  ▪️Floral foam block ▪️Wooden dowel: I buy the long ones then break them down to the size I need. Get a small size 1/4'' I use this as a stem.  ▪️Green floral tape to wrap ...
